At a time when it’s more important than ever that all businesses reduce their carbon footprint and meet stricter green targets, we understand the need for consumer confidence in how we’re doing our bit to protect the environment.
GB Projects is proud to hold Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. That means our customers can be confident they’re buying furniture made from wood, paper and other forest products sourced in well-managed forests. To achieve FSC certification we had to prove we meet the key principles of responsible forest management. This includes complying with all environmental laws and putting measures in place to enhance the social and economic wellbeing of staff.
Why use FSC-certified wood?
We believe all companies regardless of size should go that extra mile to reduce their impact on the environment for the benefit of future generations. Using FSC-certified timber comes with a huge range of benefits. Wood has the lowest embodied energy and best thermal insulation of all the mainstream building materials. Plus, it’s reusable and recyclable.
After making small initial changes at GB Projects, including reassessing the way in which we compress air, we moved on to much larger changes including a much more efficient recycling process for waste material. The results have generated significant cost savings, reduced waste and energy usage.
