We are thrilled to have been awarded our ISO 9001 certification after successfully passing a recent audit of our Quality Management principles and processes. Here, we discuss ISO 9001 and what it means for GB Projects moving forward.
What is ISO 9001?
The ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) is a global, standard-setting governing body, made up of representatives from over 160 countries.
ISO 9001 specifically refers to the review of processes supporting effective running and management of the business and focuses on continuous improvement principles.
How did we achieve this certification?
The thorough audit looked at how we effectively execute all our company processes; the clarity and communication of our roles and responsibilities companywide; and how we prioritise customer experience and satisfaction.
In addition to being one of the world’s most recognised Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001 also acts as a powerful business improvement tool, helping us continually assess and manage quality throughout our business, identify any areas of improvement and ensure our operation is running smoothly.
Why is it important to have ISO 9001 certification?
ISO 9001 gives us competitive advantage over other businesses in our industry and opens doors for us to work with larger clients.
It also helps us improve quality and service through increased efficiencies, saving time and money and helping us adopt a “right first time” attitude in everything we do.
